Video Tapes Regarding Occupational Therapy Incorporating Animals

 
1. Pet Therapy
     Occupational Therapy incorporating animals was filmed in London, Ontario, Canada at St. Mary's Hospital, a facility for long term care.  The tape reviews a policy for operating a program and some history of animal assisted therapy.
 
2. Gentle Friends
    
Occupational Therapy incorporating animals was filmed in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in an acute care hospital, a facility for in patients and out patients.  Llamas were introduced to the program as well as rabbits, dogs, goats and a duck named "Louie".
 
3. Gentle Friends Revised
    
The Latham Foundation in California consolidated tape 1 and 2 into a tape with an introduction from their files.  The Latham Foundation believes that animal abuse and child abuse are interconnected and they work to the prevention of both.
 

4. Mona's Ark
    
Videotape developed by The Latham Foundation.  Illustrates  Occupational Therapy/Animal Assisted Therapy in the public school system.  The special needs children include, children with physical disabilities, children with hearing impairments, and children with autism.  The spectrum of animals utilized range from rabbits to llamas included.
